Australian Music Week and Studios 301 announced today that Sydney indie rock drumming enthusiasts Bad Pony are the winner of the AMW 301 Music Prize for 2017.
Bad Pony was selected from over 400 applicants who applied to showcase at Australian Music Week, and were chosen by a panel of industry experts at AMW and Studios 301.
They’ll take home a prize package that includes:
- A single, recorded, mixed and mastered at Studios 301
- A showcase at Australian Music Week 2017
- Distribution by MGM
- Radio servicing by John Zucco at The Right Profile
- Media Publicity by Graham Ashton – Footstomp music
- Single launch shows booked by The Harbour Agency
- The opening spot on the main stage at HiFi Days Festival
- Editorial features in Tone-Deaf, The Brag, The Industry Observer, and AU Review

Alongside the main conference, AMW is hosting some extracurricular sideshows, including the HiFi Days Festival, which takes place in Cronulla Park on Sunday 5th November and is free entry for all ages.
