The Australian Folk/Country super group, Bennett, Bowtell & Urquhart have released their highly anticipated second album ‘WEEDS’  today and will be heading out on tour later this month to celebrate the release, with a local show at Lizotte’s, Newcastle on Saturday, September 15!

‘WEEDS’, produced by Glen Hannah and Bennett, Bowtell & Urquhart, has 11 beautifully crafted songs, featuring the acoustic instruments and three-part vocal harmonies for which Bennett, Bowtell & Urquhart are renowned.

The subject matter touched on throughout the new Album speaks to everything Bennett, Bowtell & Urquhart are passionate about. Songs of love, family and community, indigenous Australian stories, and the current world political climate. From the first note, you know that this album is going to be one that stays with you.

Track one, ‘Mountain of Pain’, begins with a solid acapella gospel sound that lets you know you are about to hear not just a story but a battle cry.

The final track ‘Every Hello’ is a tribute to a close friend of Bennett, Bowtell & Urquhart, featuring the voice and guitar of the late Karl Broadie, a well-loved Scottish born Australian Singer/Songwriter, in a previously unfinished song written by Karl and Kevin Bennett.

The video for the first Single ‘Love or Money’ has been added on Country Music Channel and the song has been downloaded for airplay all over the country.

‘Weeds’ is available worldwide on all digital platforms, via Checked Label Services, or from the website
