Last Wednesday evening, leading regional tourism businesses, events, and visitor experiences stretching from the Great Lakes region to the Tweed were recognised at the 2018 North Coast Regional Tourism Awards in Coffs Harbour. More than 200 industry representatives were in attendance to see who would take home the coveted awards and witness the induction of nine businesses into the Hall of Fame, with Bluesfest being one of these special nine companies.

Peter Noble comments on Bluesfest winning the North Coast Regional Tourism Award for major festivals and events three years in a row – and consequently being inducted into the Hall of Fame – “I can’t begin to express my delight in Bluesfest being inducted into the North Coast Regional Tourism Awards Hall of Fame”, says Peter Noble, CEO of the Bluesfest Group of Companies. “This is a testament to the endeavours of all connected with Bluesfest to provide not just a musical experience for our customers, but a full life experience. Our attendees come now not only for the music but to enjoy the very essence of their surroundings: the beaches, the hinterland tourism trails, the food, the complete Byron Bay experience. They bring their dollars, and they spend them here in our region. This is big recognition, not just for Bluesfest, but for the whole of the Byron Shire.

Bluesfest is just a marker for 5 days in the public eye … but behind the scenes for the other 360 days a year, my staff work exceptionally hard at preparing the next Bluesfest experience. Today … I am a proud Bluesfest ‘father’.”

Music lovers from across Australia will visit the beautiful Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm, just outside Byron Bay over the Easter long weekend (Thursday 18th April to Monday 22nd of April 2019) for the 30th Annual Bluesfest. During the Festival they will enjoy 12 hours of music each day on multiple stages, incredible food and market stalls and on-site camping in a range of accommodation options.
