CARLA GENEVE’S NEW SINGLE “LISTENING”

At the ripe old age of 19, Perth based Carla Geneve is telling brutally honest stories and captivating audiences through song with such aplomb that people are right to think she’s been around the traps for far longer than 12 months.

Her second single, “Listening” draws attention to the importance of the song’s title. In her own words “It’s written from the perspective of a friend. I really wanted her to stand up for herself more in a relationship.”

We’re hoping her friend took note as much as the industry seems to be.  Within the last year, Carla has taken out the inaugural Mojo Rising Band Competition, WAM’s Best Regional Act, been selected for a slew of supports including Belle & Sebastian, Gomez, Holy Holy and Jen Cloher and played slots at Falls Festival, Groovin the Moo and more.

This was all achieved on the back of her debut single, “Greg’s Discount Chemist” which racked up a huge 140,000+ worldwide streams on Spotify after its release in March this year. “Listening” is her first studio recorded single and along with “Greg’s” will feature on her debut EP due for release towards the end of 2018.
