The boys are back in town! After a five-year creative hiatus, Chase the Sun releases hot new single ‘Live It Up‘ with an album to be released later this year and announce massive east coast tour.
It’s been five long years since Sydney-based blues-funk-rock power trio Chase The Sun released new music or hit the road for any extended length of time. Summer 2017 sees the much-admired band back in business on both fronts. After being handpicked in late 2016 as the support for American hard rockers Black Stone Cherry for their April 2017 Australian tour, Chase The Sun are happy to announce a new single ‘Live It Up’ and a large run of East Coast tour dates stretching from Melbourne to Cairns.
Live It Up, the first single from Chase The Sun’s upcoming, and as yet untitled third album (due for release in winter 2017), celebrates life in all its glory – ‘Live it up baby, that big ole’ ball keeps turning, live it up baby, time is burning’.

Live It Up showcases the band’s many strengths – from the blistering guitar work of front man Jan Rynsaardt to the driving, punchy, funk-laden rhythm section of Jon Howell (drums) and Ryan Van Gennip (bass).
