Award-winning psychotronic French-Canadian rock and rollers Les Hôtessesd’Hilaire will head Down Under for their first ever Australian Tour.

The bilingual French-Canadian five-piece from Moncton, fronted by the enigmatic frontman Serge Brideau, were fatefully stumbled across by Dashville whilst attending the East Coast Music Awards (ECMAs), held in New Brunswick, Canada back in 2017.

It was here where they won Best Rock Band and Best Group Recording of the Year, with Serge Brideau famously lifting New Brunswick premier Brian Gallant and cuddling him like a baby whilst accepting the prestigious latter award.

It’s an absolute honour to be working with such an innovative band and introducing them to Australia, it’s going to be a lot of fun!” says Nashville festival director Matt Johnston.

Les Hôtesses d’Hilaire, which roughly translates to “The Hosts of Humour”, will make their Australian debut at Hunter Valley’s prestigious Gum Ball festival on Saturday, April 28, 2018. Further shows include Sydney and Melbourne, before heading out to Wide Open Spaces festival in Alice Springs, Northern Territory.

The band has released three albums to date: Hilaire à boire, Party de ruisseau, Touche-moi pas là. A new album will be launched late spring and they are presently finishing work on a rock opera that will launch in November 2018.

“LES HÔTESSES D’HILAIRE employs a brilliant use of slap back on the vocals and drums giving their music a mixture of fifties rock n roll and dark dub and it’s this care to attention that makes them stand out in the oversubscribed garage rock field. They have a lot of imagination in their songwriting as well and their whole sound is both an adrenalin rush and aural adventure.”

Les Hôtessesd’Hilaire is Serge Brideau (vocals, guitar, and frontman), Mico Roy (guitars), Michel Vienneau (bass), Leandre Bourgeois (keys) and Maxence Cormier (drums).
