Canada-based, Irish-born singer, songwriter and storyteller Irish Mythen hit the stage at Lizotte’s Newcastle last night for what was a superb night of live music. As soon as Irish walked on stage she drew the audience in with her banter and knife-sharp wit, Irish may be small in stature but she is a giant on the stage. Her near on two-hour set was one of the most room filling, powerful and brutally honest that we have experienced from a solo artist.

The show took the audience on a rollercoaster of emotions from the hauntingly beautiful ‘Four Walls‘  to the foot stomping rocked out ‘Jesus’, it had it all, finishing up with a stunning cover of Van Morrison‘s ‘Into The Mystic‘ to a standing ovation from the big Newy crowd.

The fabulous and oh so very talented Cass Eager set the tone for the night with a killer opening set.

Don’t miss a show near you!
