Our gallery from the Lloyd Cole show at the fabulous Lizotte’s last Tuesday night. What an amazing night of live music with this iconic artist playing his songbook from 1983-1996, including some killer covers of Leonard Cohen, David Bowie, The Go-Betweens and Bruce Springsteen songs. With his smooth cool vocals and dry sense of humour, Lloyd Cole had the big Lizotte’s crowd in the palm of his hand from the get-go. Kicking off the first set solo, finishing it with crowd favourite ‘ Jennifer She Said’….
…. the second set went from solo to an up beat duo with his son William (who is the haunting image of his farther) joining him on stage on guitar, he told the room “you can imagine how long I had to search to find someone who looked just like me … if I had been in The Cure”.
