The only change this year will be the temporary relocation to the gorgeous Wickham Park. When asked about the reason for the move the festival promoter Brent Lean said ” Yes a change of venue this year due to the works required at The Foreshore for the Vroom Vrooms. We’re excited about having a crack at a new venue. It’s a beautiful green space that gives us a load of options to create another great rockin’ day. Only a few minutes up the road from The Foreshore with great transport network at the door

Live at the Foreshore 2017 will bring more than just iconic live music,  wth the festival food experience taking you on its own journey, Fresh from the Yatai: Japanese Street Food. Get your fill of Japanese comfort food; from areas like Hokkaido and Hiroshima, this year’s festival food will have alleys dedicated to regional specialties: miso ramen and okonomiyaki. Feel like eating food in a market-like setting in a festival? Like Japan’s infamous Fukuoka, you will be whisked away into Japanese styled enclave dotted with backstreet, laneway styled food stalls. Yatai at Live at the Foreshore, for many, will be the best opportunity to try some Japanese street culture first hand. In fact, one could say that the atmosphere of an immersive experience is that of a street food market.

If you don’t feel like traipsing your taste buds around the world, there will be some festival delights on offer as well. Food trucks, sweet treats and Newcastle’s own savoury treasures for you to discover including Lizotte’s onsite cafe providing snacks and beverages catering to the coffee and high tea aficionados in a garden styled outdoor lounge setting! The perfect place for you to kick back and enjoy the music.

To Quench those thirsts there’ll be small batch brew craft beer, wine, specialty brewed festival cider and fresh poured mixed spirits and artisan cocktails will be on offer to the strictly over 18 music lovers. The relaxing lush parklands will be an idyllic setting for the Hunt & Gather Markets and their artisan retail therapy. To take optimum advantage of the gorgeous Newcastle springtime sun, gates will open at 12.30pm with the last act finishing up at 8 pm. What a perfect way to spend a Sunday session.
