Say hello to the huge, hard-hitting single ‘No Surrender’, the latest from Melbourne four-piece MID CITY…
…Lead singer Joel Griffith expands on the track; “’No Surrender’ is about the true impact of the digital age we find ourselves living in, making it too easy to lose yourself trying to impress. So, our digital reflection is our only concern. Now every day is for wrenching the spotlight. People become twisted, nightmarish versions of themselves catapulting through that rabbit hole. We say shit we’d never say, we do shit we’d never do, we start to believe
‘No Surrender’ follows on from the ear-shattering banger ‘Old Habits
Premiered on triple j’s Good Nights earlier this week, ‘No Surrender’ was recorded with Oscar Dawson (HOLY HOLY, Ali Barter, Alex Lahey, British India) and is available globally now.
The
band just completed their first
run of headline shows all along Australia’s east coast in
Jan/Feb, which saw them energetically
both explode and implode on stage in front of a swathe of
new fans in Sydney, Wollongong, Byron Bay and Brisbane, and a sold-out home
town show in Melbourne.
To experience a slice of their crazy on-stage energy, you can find a small
video taken at the Brisbane show

From a stack of Spotify playlisting, to top 10 most played on triple j, from
Clash video premieres, to #25 on College Radio charts in Germany, MID CITY have
already drummed up some serious
attention from media, fans and industry both internationally
and at home.
Their debut EP Die Waiting will be unleashed onto the world on
Friday 5 April, with a national tour to be announced soon.
