There is a magic night of live music on the menu at The Lass O’Gowrie Hotel tonight “Saturday, June 25tth” with Lennie Tranter and The Bagism Revelation, Rose & The Sea and Sydney J music kicks off at 9.00pm
Real favourites of The Swamp House crew, Lennie Tranter and The Bagism Revelation are a Newcastle based band who play melodic pop-rock that will blast you back to the 70’s. Front man, Lennie Tranter, has a song writing style that is both unique and familiar. With irresistible hooklines and endearing harmonies, Tranter’s melodic, catchy and upbeat songs are reminiscent of British greats, The Beatles and Oasis.
Folk/Alt.Country Duo, Rose & The Sea are Deanna Rose & Milli Casey, another one that holds a place close to our hearts, some of the most heavenly harmonies you’ll hear. When Deanna Rose and Milli Casey perform together, their voices melt into each other, allowing you to drift away into a world of luminescent harmonies that will leave you mesmerised.
Hailing from Tamworth, Deanna Rose, has country in her bones, but she has definitely made it her own. Her delicate guitar style and descriptive lyrics allow you to get swept up in her songs and brought back to earth with her beautifully strong and emotive voice (which you may recognise from Team Ricky on last year’s “The Voice”)
Milli Casey delivers a whimsical tone to the deep complexities and layers of love. The purity and truth that carry through her unique voice plus her earnest delivery leave you feeling exactly how her lyrics describe.
Both inspired by some of the great story telling genres of blue grass, contemporary folk & country music their songs leave you lost in the surprisingly familiar scenarios of love and loss.
