Four stellar nights of original live music on stage at The Stag & Hunter hotel this week!
Thursday, December 1st – See’s one of Newcastle’s most popular jam nights, the monthly Merewerether Fats Blues Jam back for a night of some of the best Blues in Newie.
Friday, December 2nd – Method, Folk/ Roots/ Rock & Roll – Seasoned session musicians Bill Jacobi and Frank Corby unite to form Method. With the skeletal combo of drums and amped up an acoustic guitar they weave a mix of roots music, folk and heartland rock & roll to create songs that are honest and down to earth.
Saturday, December 3rd – Liam Gerner And The Sunset Pushers, Folk/ Rock- Liam Gerner left his rural family life in Adelaide hills to seek his fortune in London. Almost immediately he was treated as a “hot new talent” and experienced the music business at its most corporate.Breaking free, he headed to the US, joined Texan country rocker Ryan Bingham’s band on guitar and experienced frontline American roots music. Returning to Australia in early-2013 Liam had his guitar, songs, and Land Of No Roads, an album cut with LA’s finest.
Sunday, December 4th – Matt Stillert, Alt Blues/ Rock – Thundering riffs, wailing vocals, high energy crescendos, captivating Acapella, unorthodox guitar work, and original storytelling are the backbone of a Matt Stillert show.
