There are four big nights of live music on stage at The Stag & Hunter Hotel this weekend, kicking off Thursday, May 4th with Merewether Fats Blues Jam | 7:30 pm Free Entry – First Thursday of every month The Merewether Fats boys hit the Stag stage to perform soul ripping, smooth blues. They invite YOU to bring your own instrument of bliss and join in on the fun.

Friday, May 5th – Shirley Cresent | 8 pm Free Entry; Rock – Shirley Cresent take their cues from a blues based philosophy – raw, heavy and stripped back, rejecting unnecessary pedal boards and effects racks, and for better or worse, awareness of trends. They focus squarely on the craft and delivery of songs, where flavours of country, metal, gospel and pop blend together in a primitive, no frills, high energy delivery.

Saturday, May 6th; Wysper w/ Stone Empire | 8 pm Free Entry – Wysper‘s Matt Bekk met drummer Shane Stephens 2009 and together formed the band in 2011 have been through some highs and lows
after the death of their original singer Dale Thrift who passed away on Boxing day 2015, The band could not tour on their album in 2014 titled FREE TO FREEDOM but managed to do two video clips ‘A nightmare Of Mind and Come Right Back’.
Dale’s last words to Matt Bekk was, find another singer and never give up on WYSPER. Middle of 2016 New front man David Carrall has stepped up and is ready to take it to another level as well as Bassist David Abbott are ready to hit the studio 5th of Feb 2017 and will do a double e.p titled ‘FREEDOM AIN’T FREE’
