VOODOO EXPRESS – LIZOTTE’S

Swamp House News & Reviews

Voodoo Express played to a packed house at Lizotte’s on Sunday night with special guests Dai Pritchard, Grant Walmsley and Justin Ngariki.

Voodoo Express is a four piece blue-rock outfit that has been building a big reputation around the Newcastle / Hunter region, with a thumping rhythm section, Kerry Miller on drums and Jed Browne on bass,Andrew Davis’ passionate Lead and the imposing Dean Reynolds up front with powerhouse vocals to match.
The Voodoo’s kicked off the night with a number of new songs from their upcoming album, which they hope to release in early 2014, with Dai, Grant and Ngariki making special guest appearances throughout.

They closed off the night with an all-in jam, featuring covers of Fire, Voodoo Child and Sympathy For The Devil that shook the old buildings foundations to the core and had the punters dancing between the tables.
Keep an eye out for this band and their new album, I have no doubt there are big things to come.
