WHAT’S HOT AT THE SWAMP HOUSE THIS WEEK 06/07/16

Swamp House News & Reviews

We love our music videos here at The Swamp House, these are the top three on our play list this week ‘in no particular order’

This week it’s all about the locals

Justin Ngariki’s a legend in the Newcastle / Hunter’s live music scene, with his band The Dastardly Bastards, featuring Robbie Long on guitar and lap steel, Jason Bone on guitar and saxophone, Marty Paget on drums and Rob Banks on bass, they are one power packed hell of a live act.

Boo Seeka, man Ben Gumbleton what a talent, if you’re lucky enough to have tickets to their sold out show at the Cambridge Hotel this Friday you are in for one hell of a show. Boo Seeka  have recently brought out a new track, ‘Oh My’. With more hip-hop driven beats and melodic layerings, the track is an insight into what’s to come for the dreamtronic duo. It follows their hit singles, ‘Kingdom Leader’, ‘Deception Bay’ and ‘Fool’. Which all made it into the top 200 of Triple J’s Hottest 100 countdown.

We are unashamedly huge fans of this band, ‘Call on Me‘ is the second single from locals Lennie Tranter And The Bagism Revelation. Lennie Tranter and The Bagism Revelation are a Newcastle based band who play melodic pop-rock that will blast you back to the 70’s. Front man, Lennie Tranter, has a song writing style that is both unique and familiar. With irresistible hooklines and endearing harmonies, Tranter’s melodic, catchy and upbeat songs are reminiscent of British greats, The Beatles and Oasis.
