There is four kick arse night of original live music on The Stag & Hunter stage this week

Thursday, November 24th –  Alt/ Folk – The Settlement is never one to be pigeonholed. A five-piece rare alternative/folk outfit, sticking to their southern stomp roots. Channeling alternative/folk with Southern stomp, they’ve just returned from a recording session at The Aviary (The Panics, Bonjah, The Cat Empire) where they laid down new single “She’s Alright” and forthcoming debut album.

Friday, November 25th – One of Newcastle’s favourite touring bands and good friends of The Swamphouse, the Urban Chiefs will be on stage and shooting a live DVD of the showThis will be a part of the Urban Chiefs Crowd Funding campaign to help raise much-needed funds for their new album ‘Grains of Truth’ and will take place at the end of the campaign  https://pozible.com/project/urban-chiefs-new-album….

….The night will kick off with New Black Shades at 8pm and is set to be a great night of entertainment. there will have a pledge station set up so you can help the guys get over the line. Come along, jump onboard and make it a big one for this fantastic band!!
Saturday, November 26th – Jack Biilmann with Blake DantierRoots/ Dub/ Reggae/ Blues – Jack Biilmann grew up in Pambula Beach on the south coast of New South Wales and quickly discovered he had an ear for music. His natural ability shone as while he finished school and culminated in 2011 in forming ska punk band The Second Hand Salmon.

After much deliberation, Biilmann decided to pursue opportunities as a solo artist, in February 2015 ‘Myself To Blame’ was released. The record is the product of the hard work and tenacity of one of Australia’s fastest rising young guitarists, a blend of Blues, Roots and Grounded Folk, ‘Myself To Blame’ shines a light on Biilmann’s versatility as a songwriter and his prowess as a guitarist….

….Blake Dantier was raised on rock music and hailing from Sydney’s West, passionate singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Blake Dantier, crafts a unique brand of country music.

Sunday, November 26th – Tim Hulsman w/ Sarah Christine, Alt Funk/ Country – Tim Hulsman is a world-class performer, awarded the Alex Legg Memorial Foundation Scholarship 2015, for excellence in song writing, stagecraft, and artistic vision. In his latest album “Get Loved” Tim Hulsman explores his roots and reveals more about himself than ever before, somehow bringing together all of his favourite music styles and influences into a fresh, bold new style of his own….

Newcastle’s Sarah Christine is inspired by the world around her and the people in it. Her current instruments include; Guitar and Vocals although she is currently trying to learn Ukulele and Piano. She is passionate about writing songs that are relatable and that can help people smile on a bad day. Feel free to message her, she won’t bite. Most recently she performed in the Passport To Airlie Beach Music Festival at The Stag & Hunter Hotel in August/ September 2016.
