The Stag and Hunter Hotel has another huge weekend of original live music with 12 bands over four days!
Thursday, August 11th – Brisbane rockers Hound and Melbourne’s Summerblood on their dual EP tour with special guests King Single.
Friday, August 12th – Joeys Coop with The Donkey Browns. Joeys Coop draws on a wide palette of musical inspiration. If you could imagine mixing a smidgen of Velvet Underground with a reasonable dose of melodic pop, tinged with a good shot of alt country ala Wilco, then run it through a bit of a funk/blues filter with a nod to The Stones and you’d come some way to getting a handle on what the Coop sounds like.
Saturday, August 13th – Dan Brodie with James Thomson & The Strange Pilgrims and special guest De’May. Beginning in Melbourne then travelling to Sydney, Newcastle and finishing in Maitland, James Thomson & The Strange Pilgrims will perform their heartfelt Americana stylings first and will then join acclaimed performer, Dan Brodie as his backing band for a headline set, presenting a carefully handpicked selection of songs from Brodie’s extensive career.
Sunday, August 14th – Heat 1 of Passport To Airlie kicks off at 3.00pm with a ton of talent including In Motion, Hunt for Home, Gayle O’Neil, Pap & That and Wesley’s Edge. Come along support the artists and enjoy a Sunday afternoon of cool live music.
