AUSSIE ROCK LEGENDS TO PLAY AT THE WICKO – SATURDAY, JUNE 4TH

Back in October last year a group of four Aussie music legends banded together for a jam at the Sydney Blues & Roots Festival, they called themselves Freedom Friends.

Freedom Friends were a huge hit at the festival and when you look at their pedigree there is no doubting why.

Freedom Friends are:  On Vocals and Keys – Mitch Anderson, Finalist on the Voice Australia 2013, with a career spanning over twenty years, Mitch is arguably one of the best white soul singers doing the rounds at the moment.

Paul Wheeler – Drums, Paul has graced the stage with Aussie music legends including Spy v Spy, Icehouse, Kevin Borich, Russell Morris and Brian Cadd just to name a few.

Harry Brus – Bass, a true legend and Bass player to the stars, with a career spanning over five decades. Brus has toured and recorded with the likes of Blackfeather, Australian Crawl Kevin Borich, Renée Geyer, Marcia Hines, Joe Walsh, Phil Emmanuel, Ross Wilson,  Russell Morris and the list just keeps on going.

Last but not least on Guitar, Newcastle’s very own Dai Pritchard. A member of The Billy Thorpe Band for 8 years, prior to receiving a personal request by the late Pete Wells and Angry Anderson of  Rose Tattoo to continue the story. Taking his place as a full time member of the iconic Australian Rock band ROSE TATTOO in 2004, conquering numerous European festivals such as Wacken, Germany & Donnington, England. Dai continues to raise the bar with invited guest performances with no other than world renowned guitarist “SLASH” (Guns N Roses) at the “Hisense Arena in Melbourne”

Freedom Friends will be on stage at The Wicko (Newcastle) Saturday, June 4th.
