While much of the nation is in a splendid spin the small but beautifully formed Bello Winter Music 2018 has also revealed a cracking line-up of more than 70 acts for the boutique winter festival that fills the streets, halls, pubs and cafes of the stunning riverside town of Bellingen on the NSW Mid North Coast from 12 – 15 July, 2018. Deborah Conway & Willy Zeiger, Caiti Baker, William Crighton, Z-Star Trinity (UK),Jack Carty & Gus Gardiner, Perch Creek and Hot Potato Band are just some of the acts that will join previously announced acts Justin Townes Earle, Lior, Lillie Mae, Maddy Jane, Fraser A. Gorman, Moussa Diakite And Wassado, Thando, The Satsuki Odamura Koto Ensemble, Tangents and the Hi-Tops Brass Band.
Now in its fourth year, Bello Winter Music is an intimate, family-friendly event that spreads across 14 different venues throughout the town of Bellingen and has sold out each year. This is a festival where you go to discover new music from across the globe and Australia in a village setting. The program is diverse, quirky and full of surprises including one-off collaborative performances between artists on the line-up. The emphasis is on great live music and a friendly, inclusive atmosphere. It’s little wonder that Bello Winter Music has been so wholeheartedly embraced by music lovers of all persuasions and is a favourite festival to play for musicians.

Deborah Conway & Willy Zygier
Deborah Conway is a significant and eloquent contributor to Australian music, singing songs that chronicle the essential elements of life, love, loss, memory, the mundane and the spiritual. Restless and confounding, her powerful voice and presence has fascinated audiences for the past 30 years. A rare female agitator in a time when the music industry was male-dominated; Conway continues to be a role model for young women and a mentor to emerging artists.
Caiti Baker
A vocalist and frontwoman raised on the sounds that birthed popular music she was born into a household filled with vinyl, CDs and tapes of Blues, Soul, Gospel, Jazz, Big Band and Rock & Roll. Caiti’s father, a Blues musician himself, made sure that she was raised amongst music.
William Crighton
William Crighton is a sublimely talented Australian folk-rock artist. A son of the Riverina in southwestern NSW, he is a riveting storyteller, with a sound that is bold, visceral and singular.
Z-Star Trinity
Shaking up the Australian blues scene, award-winning international artist Zee Gachette with her trio Z-Star Trinity are setting the stage alight with her high octane energy modern blues, psyche rock, folk n’ funk. Zee’s inimitable talent for improvising onstage is simply exhilarating to watch, inspiring standing ovations from music legends like Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin), Roger Daltrey (The Who) and Amy Winehouse. A show not to be missed!
Hot Potato Band
Anything could happen! Known to cause a severe case of happy fever, this 10 piece brass band is sure to put a smile on your face in an incredibly unique live show. The Hot Potato Band have become one of the most celebrated festival bands in Australia. Evolving from their roots as a roving band on the streets of Sydney, they continue to capture their unique energy and interaction on stage. Beware, as they make you the centre of their performance… literally!
Ash Bell & Sara Tindley
The singular voices and extraordinary songwriting of Ash Bell (of Starboard Canons) and Sara Tindley (‘Wild and Unknown’, ‘Time’, ‘Lucky The Sun’) will be previewing songs from their debut collaboration “I Let My Guard Down”. Songwriters of the highest order, this collaboration is the coming together of soul brother and sister to form a timeless folk/roots mini-masterpiece of tough love and deep humanity. Having worked closely with one another since 2012, this release marks an exciting chapter in teach of their musical journeys.
