Golden Robot Records has announced the signing of Adelaide brother/sister two-piece rock outfit, Fyre Byrd, who’ll be joining the powerhouse label’s growing roster, which includes the mighty Rose Tattoo, The Superjesus, Mi-Sex, Toe to Toe, Dizzy Reed, Kilbey Kennedy and indie rock acts such as The Cherry Dolls, The Lockhearts, High Tropics, The Kids, and The Heartache State.

It’s very exciting to not only be able to sign some of the more well-known acts, but it’s also great to find these young, talented, hard-working artists coming out of the suburbs, who could very well be the next big thing.” – Mark Alexander-Erber (President & Founder, Golden Robot Global Entertainment)

Fyre Byrd is guitarist/vocalist Joshua and female drummer, Daniella. Although only formed in early 2017, they have both spent time on the road extensively, touring both nationally and internationally with other projects.

Based in Adelaide, Fyre Byrd has taken advantage of the chemistry they have built as siblings over the years, making their presence known with animalistic drums and heavily distorted guitar that drive the melodic energy of their songs, alongside Joshua’s vocals. The Australian duo’s sound moulds the rock dynamism of the likes of The White Stripes and Muse.

Set to commence working on their debut album with producer, Steve Balbi, in coming weeks, Fyre Byrd will be amongst the first to record at Golden Robot’s new studio in Sydney and will perform at the next Not So Secret Secret Show at Sydney’s Hideaway Bar, Enmore, on Thursday, 14 September (tickets $10 on the door).
