The brand-new album, Under My Skin, self-produced by multi-award-winning artist, Kirsty Lee Akers is out now through Indie label, Social Family Records, and available in-store and online.

Album number five for Akers, who is one of this country’s most unique and authentic recording artists, Under My Skin saw her in the producer’s seat for the first time, marking her evolution as an artist.  It contains ten masterfully crafted tracks, embodying Akers distinctive sound, powerful lyrics, and musical influences.

Joining forces, each song was co-written with some of the best songwriters in the industry, including Jerry Salley, Phil Barton, Trey Bruce, Bruce Wallace and more, culminating in lashings of pop and fusion of modern country and Americana stylings, yet still seamlessly linking back to Akers roots.  True to her signature honesty and authenticity, the listener is taken on a vivid journey through family tribulations, love, loss and the tragedy of souls taken too soon.

So much hard work has gone into making this album,” says Akers. “This is the first album of mine that I’ve actually produced myself. I wrote on every song, everything you hear on this album is 100% me so this one is extra special. I can’t wait for the world to hear it!”
