Music For The Mind this Saturday, December 16th at Newcastle’s home of original live music, The Stag & Hunter Hotel. Some of our finest local artists have come together for what will be a sensational day/night of live music at one of Newcastle’s finest live music venues, to shine a light and raise some funds for those suffering from mental illness and depression. Entry is free with  raffles/100club’s throughout the day and there will be money boxes lining the bar for your donations (please dig deep!), with all proceeds to be split amongst a few charities. (Headspace, Beyond Blue, Black Dog Institute).

The massive line up includes  Melbourne singer/ songwriter Jamie Hay, Ben Leece with his soulful blend of minimalistic alt-country, Americana, folk and blues….

…. Deanna Rose with a voice that is sensual, sweet, raw, emotional and Powerfull enough to shake foundations, Carl The Bartender (A.K.A, Ben ‘Murph’ Murphy) with his smooth Country and Blues, the fabulous Tori Forsyth more than sweet love songs. She’s real and gritty and not afraid to get her hands dirty….

…. Newcastle favourite Lachlan X Morris, playing tunes from his hot new album ‘Ouija Board Heartbreak Tambourine’, Boots Porter, the musical equivalent of every relationship and subsequent breakup you’ve ever had. Rose-tinted glasses supplied at the door and last but most definitely least one of The Swamphouse’s favourite Newcastle bands Lennie Tranter And The Bagism Revelation  melodic pop-rock that will blast you back to the 70’s!
