SUNDAY SESSIONS – JULY 17TH

Swamp House News & Reviews

Hey Newcastle! there is plenty of live music hitting the stages of Newcastle’s live music venues today, here’s just a few of the many that caught our eye.

Love That Hat (Sue Carter, Dave Carter & Mikey Stove) at The Mark Hotel, 4.00pm. One of Newcastle’s favourite bands, these guys keep it lots of fun and the dance floor full, with plenty of classic covers with Love that Hat’s unique twist.

The Wicko, has  the fabulous Jonn Larder in the Beer Garden from 1.30pm. Then Sydney Blues men Blues Exile make their debut in The Wicko’s front bar from 5.30pm. We’ve heard these guys are damn good! A group of musicians who got together by chance with a mutual respect & passion for the Blues. Together they bring a unique & sincere quality to the music.

The Criterion at Carrington will have Newie legend Greg Bryce (DV8, Hot Yogis) doing it solo from  3-6pm, make sure to ask Greg to do some originals, one of our favourites is ‘Tide is Rising’ off his Hot Yogis album ‘Under The Wire’
