The festival has always offered a diverse lineup of live music, and this year is no exception. Featuring some of the country’s most loved blues musicians and the best of Newcastle, The 4th Annual Newcastle Blues & Roots Festival is arguably it’s most exciting to date.

Australia’s best blues guitarists, Chase The Sun infuse their take on the blues with loud guitar, blazing hard funk and a cranking 70’s southern rock feel.
Fresh on the back of his latest release, Buddy Knox will bring his distinctly original style to The 4th Annual Newcastle Blues & Roots Festival in 2019. Buddy is loving every moment of his long-standing desire to head up his own band, and we can’t wait to see them take to the stage in January.
Janis Joplin and Ben Harper’s love-child’ is one way to describe the music of
Cass Eager and the Velvet Rope. Their mix of raw blues, husky soul and lighthearted ditties have earned the band a reputation of being a “must see” on any lineup they land on.
