The official music video for Skeletons, the third single lifted from Kirsty Lee Aker’s self-produced album, Under My Skin, premiered on the Country Music Channel today, airing at the top of the hour at 6 am, 7 am, 10 am, Midday, 1 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm, 4 pm and 8 pm. The channel will also air CMC Songs & Stories with Kirsty Lee Akers at 5 pm.
Created, produced and directed by Akers husband, Jesse Anderson of Klik Productions, the song has been brought to life brilliantly, circling the table and moving through the secret indiscretions of those seated, from smoking through to murder and deception. Co-written by Akers and Trey Bruce, the moody track emphasises the fact that no matter how squeaky clean someone may appear, there are always a few skeletons lurking in the closet.
“Skeletons is my favourite song on the album, so I wanted to make sure the music video was amazing! It turned out exactly how I always envisioned it in my head…I got to feel like a total badass for a day laying it all on the table to judgmental snobby family members in the music video who, funnily enough, were played by my real-life family members. I want viewers to feel like they are watching a mini movie when they see this one.” – Kirsty Lee Akers
